Therapists

Alisa Allen, LMT
I have been a massage therapist for 12 years. I became a therapist because I wanted to help people. From early on in my career I have specialized in pain management, sports massage, injury recovery and injury prevention. I am also certified in Seifuku Jujitsu Massage. This is based on traditional Chinese medicine and uses deep tissue massage to address the meridians and chi flow throughout the body.
These modalities have helped fulfill my desire to make a difference in people’s lives by providing immediate and long lasting relief from pain and preventing problems related to physical injury and emotional stress. Massage is especially effective for the prevention of and recovery from repetitive use injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Tendinitis, Sciatica, Knee Pain and other soft tissue injuries.
I am honored by the opportunity to help people. Massage therapy gives great purpose and deep satisfaction to my life.

In 1997 I had my first massage. Through that seemingly small experience, my life was changed forever! I graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1999 then built a full time practice from the ground up. I have been at Mount Mahogany for 5 1/2 years and am both state licensed nationally certified.
One of the most rewarding things to me is when someone tells me that I have made a difference in their life, through my massage. I love being a myotherapist. It is more than what I do… It’s who I am. I feel privileged for each opportunity to help someone get rid of a headache, relieve stress or recover from an injury. I believe massage can be an amazing tool for keeping our bodies free from pain.
I am passionate about what I do and am always eager to develop my skills through continuing education. I love finding new techniques that will benefit overall outcome and wellness. I lean towards deep therapeutic styles of massage.
Your session with me will typically involve a combination of therapies, designed specifically for you based on multiple factors. These factors may include pain, stress levels, injury, training goals, structural assessment, medical conditions, and doctors instructions. Deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofacial release, facilitated stretch, PNF, muscle alignment technique, sports massage: pre- and post-event, injury-recovery massage of any kind (including auto accident), hot stone massage, gua sha, and Reiki may be incorporated in your session.
Your input before, during and after your massage is not only welcome but invaluable. YOU are the expert on how your body feels.

I’ve loved giving massages ever since I was little, when I would walk up and down on my dad’s back, relieving his tension after a hard day’s work. While I don’t walk on backs anymore, I still love helping people feel better. From improving range of motion, to resolving a headache, I’m right there working with various muscle groups to help the patient achieve their individual health goals. I incorporate the practical application of Young Living’s organic essential oils to compliment each session’s work. I offer many different modalities, and tailor each myotherapy session to meet the needs and wellness goals of each patient. Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone Massage, Russian Massage, and Thai Yoga are all utilized in varying degrees to each myotherapy session.
Donna Coleman, LMT
I am licensed in the State of Utah, and am Nationally Certified with the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. I graduated from The Utah College of Massage Therapy with honors and a 4.0 GPA.
I am well versed with modalities that incorporate both Eastern and Western medicine, as well as pathology and anatomy. Knowing the muscles, where their attachments are, and what their function is, allows me to fine tune my therapy. My focus is on restorative massage, and helping those suffering from headaches, limited range of motion, muscle tension and pain, and injuries sustained in an auto accident. My focus in the office is to not only treat the symptoms, but also the causes of pain. I don’t think that having a “feel good” massage is necessarily a bad thing, but I believe that unless you attack the root causes of the pain, those feel good’s will only offer a placebo effect.
The modalities that I prefer to use the most when treating pain are:
Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, Deep tissue & Injury. I also incorporate Essential Oils, Russian, Structural, Sports, Hydrotherapy, PNF, and even a few Shiatsu stretches where appropriate. The other modalities I perform when a more relaxing massage is desired are: Shiatsu, Hot Stone Therapy, Raindrop Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Accupressure, Reflexology and of course, your basic medium to deep pressure “hurts so good” massage.
I find being a myotherapist very rewarding, and very fulfilling. I never like to see someone come in with pain, but I absolutely love to see them leave without it. I love being able to grab onto an aggressive trigger point and feel it spasm, then dissolve under my pressure. I love stretching out areas that are bound up and see an increase in range of motion. I love being able to alleviate a headache without the use of medication. I love doing my part to heal. Of course what I do is only a portion of it, but it is definitely rewarding having that type of an impact on someone’s life. At times, there is no quality of life because of the severity of pain. Something so simple that I can do, makes a world of difference to someone who can’t even perform their own simple daily routine. And that is why I do what I do. This is my calling in life.

Tyffani Crofts-Jackson, LMT
I am a Nationally Certified, Utah Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master and have been in practice for over 5-years. I started working with golfers at the Pinehurst Health Resort in North Carolina for 1.5 years. Then, while deployed for the U.S. Army at Ft. Bliss, TX for 4-months, worked with fellow soldiers on my time off to alleviate discomfort or injuries they sustained while training. Soon after, I worked for a short time at the Hyatt Regency Resort Spa in Lake Tahoe, NV. This is where I realized that a “relaxing spa” is not where I should be! So, I moved home to Utah and started working with family and friends, in my home or theirs, while looking for a place to start a permanent practice. Finally, I found Mount Mahogany in 2006, and this is where I belong!
I am proficient in treating auto-accident injuries and repetitive strain injuries; relieving headaches, neck, shoulder, mid-back, lower-back, leg/foot and arm/hand pain; increasing range of motion and flexibility; helping you maintain muscle integrity while strength training for health, sport, or bodybuilding competition; and preparing areas having subluxations so they can be adjusted more effectively. To achieve the highest quality result, I utilize multiple modalities and tailor them to fit the needs of individual patients. Modalities I use include, but are not limited to: Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, PNF, Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Lymphatic Drainage, Hot-Stone Therapy, Reiki, Cranial Sacral, and Reflexology.
You can expect to feel comfortable and relaxed during every myotherapy session with me. My goal is to improve your physical health and give you the education and tools you need to continue feeling great! I look forward to working with you soon.
