Dr. Moulder

I have certain beliefs about how a chiropractic practice should be run. Most of these beliefs have come from the past 10 years in practice, but some come from good old common sense.

I believe you must find the root of the problem and fix it.  Many treatments out there are based on covering symptoms.  At Mount Mahogany Chiropractic & Myotherapy we will do our best to get to the real cause of the pain and focus our efforts on fixing that problem.  So many times people have a muscular problem and they see a chiropractor for that problem when all of the adjustments in the world will not release the tension of that muscle. We must address the root of the problem, which is why we combine chiropractic with myotherapy.  My adjustments may not be the answer for all of your health problems, which is all right with me, my ego can take it.

I believe you are entitled to high quality care.  You deserve to have a doctor or therapist who is knowledgeable about most areas of health care, not just knowledgeable about the spine.  If you have something that is outside of my area of expertise then I will refer you to another qualified specialist immediately.

I believe that your decision to continue treatment should be based on actual results you can feel, not how much you paid up front.  Just because I am the doctor doesn’t mean I can tell you how much you have to spend on your health care.  I do not do any pre-paid plans, and I keep our charges very reasonable.  I have not raised the price of an adjustment in nearly 9 years.

I believe you are an integral part of your health care.  Patient education goes a long way in helping people get the best out of their treatments.  If you understand what is happening inside your body then the treatments in the office and the home care needed to remedy those issues make more sense.  I am always available for questions by email or even over the phone.  We need you involved to be successful.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology from Brigham Young University.  I then earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.  I currently reside two miles from my office in Pleasant Grove with my wife, Sarah, and our three beautiful children.
